Presentation of the volume "Altino. Glass of the Venetia Lagoon"
On September 28th, took place in Venice, at Istituto Veneto di Lettere, Scienze ed Arti (Palazzo Franchetti), the presentation of the volume "Altino. Glass of the Venetian Lagoon". The book is the result of a multidisciplinary research on the roman glasses discovered in Altino and preserved in the Archaeological Museum of Altino.
Interventions: Giovannella Cresci Marone, professor of Roman History, Ca' Foscari University Venice, Marghetita Tirelli, director of the Archaeological Museum of Altino, Giovanni Moretti, representative of the Promoting Committee, Rosa Barovier Mentasti, glass historian, and Lino Tagliapietra, artist and glass master.
The exhibition "Altino. Glass of the Venetian Lagoon" has been extended till May 15th 2011.
